Xerocon Brisbane 2018: Explore the agenda
The global impact of small business is undeniable: trillions of dollars added to the economy, millions of jobs around the world. It can be easy to forget that individually, every win and challenge faced by a small business owner, is unique.
As advisors, ecosystem partners, financial institutions, government entities and platform providers, it’s clear that if we want to set a new standard of services – that remove friction and provide confidence for small businesses at scale – we have to remain human at heart. Your smartest technology, most efficient processes and important interactions must put people at the centre; not the other way around.
As digitisation becomes mainstream and platform opportunities expand over the coming year, an ability to tap into the human wants and needs of business owners will become ever more important. And, as the advisors at the centre of this connection across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and beyond, we invite you to explore these themes and more at Xerocon Brisbane 2018.
Explore business that’s human at heart with our special keynotes
This year’s keynote speakers have been selected to educate and inspire you to think about the way you do business at a very human level.
In addition to the three exciting keynotes we announced last month, technologist Jamie Skella will explore why the vast possibilities of blockchain should matter to you, and our own VP of Product and Alliances, Herman Man, will talk to the future of connected accounting and the new functionality across Xero.
On day two, Managing Director of Australia and Asia, Trent Innes, will present on the impact of incremental improvements – and why the ‘one percent is everything’. Finally, closing out the ever-epic two-day event, our newly appointed CEO, Steve Vamos, and Rod Drury will deliver a keynote that looks squarely to the future.
Choose from more than 20 breakout topics
Twenty of the 30 breakout sessions have now also been announced. Just head to the Xerocon event page to tailor your schedule. Select the topics of your choice or divide and conquer the sessions between your team, as we host product roadmap updates, digitisation updates, advice for working with apps, peer-to-peer stories and more.
Joining the lineup, our Head of Security, Paul Macpherson will talk through the steps to stay ahead of cybercrime, and Chief Customer and People Officer, Rachael Powell will explain an inside-out approach to ‘human experience’. Want specific updates for your region? New Zealand Managing Director, Craig Hudson will dissect the latest Small Business Insights data and its local impact for advisers, Trent Innes will share the latest out of Australia, and Regional Director of Asia, Kevin Fitzgerald, will present an update of the Asian market alongside the cross-regional partner opportunities that can better support clients.
