What you’ll learn by attending Day Xero (formerly Uni Day)

As the excitement builds for this year’s Xerocon, we want to make sure that Day Xero (formerly Uni Day) is on your radar.

Scheduled the day before Xerocon starts, Day Xero features tailored workshops for accounting and bookkeeping partners who want to take their practice to the next level.

Taking place on 12 November at CentreEd, the day will start at 9:30 AM and end at 5:30 PM. It involves three unique work streams for you to choose from, depending on your role, interests and what you’d like to learn.

These include: Lead people, Lead customer success, or Lead the way. We’ll also be joined by Rachael Powell, Xero’s Chief Customer, People and Marketing Officer, who will host an intimate Q&A with everyone at the start of the day.

Xero partner Renae Pitargue told us: “Rachael’s presentation was great – despite all the technology improvements, we still need to focus on people and building business relationships.”

Tickets are limited so we recommend you book now to avoid disappointment. Here’s a little more information about each work stream.

Stream one: Lead people

The first stream involves learning about your most valuable resource – people. If you want to future proof your practice, you need to have the right people in place. In this stream, you’ll learn about making the most of your team, unlocking their potential and elevating your current recruitment processes. We’ll also cover change management and building leadership.

This stream is suitable for those in the roles: Practice partners, managing directors, people managers and future leaders.

Stream two: Lead customer success

The second stream, Lead customer success, will focus on leveraging Xero for business growth. Designed for regular Xero users, we’ll be covering the latest Xero product updates, which areas your practice can improve, and the future of accounting and bookkeeping. This stream is essential for anyone who wants to offer their clients exceptional services.

This stream is suitable for those in the roles: Daily Xero users, Xero specialists and super users.

Stream three: Lead the way

This stream is for knowledge sharing. Set among your peers, you’ll be asked to share your key learnings and exchange tips that have helped you grow your practice. “I loved hearing about others failures – this helps to look at your own failures and learn other ways to approach things,” says Xero partner Janet Collard.

We’ll also be joined by Alexandra Bond Burnett, renowned speaker and presentation coach, who will help with client pitches and presentations. You’ll leave this stream with practical advice, tools and templates to help you implement your learning.
