Since the pandemic’s arrival, advisors have carried the weight of small business survival on their shoulders. But now, we’re entering a new chapter in our nation’s pandemic journey. Although challenges lie ahead, opportunities for growth, innovation and human connection are all within reach. This is why, after a two-year hiatus, we couldn’t be more excited to enter this new era with a celebration. That’s right, Xerocon is back for 2022!

Dubbed the ‘Coachella for accountants’ or the ‘Burning Man for BAS agents,’ this year’s Xerocon is set to be a memorable one. We’re rallying partners from across Australia, New Zealand and Asia to join us at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC) on the iconic Darling Harbour this September.

So, what do we have in store? As the world’s most innovative and beautiful conference for cloud accounting leaders, you can look forward to two days of inspiration, education and engagement. Most importantly, Xerocon Sydney is your chance to acknowledge and celebrate all that you’ve achieved over these past few years alongside your team, industry, peers and friends (yes, letting loose is encouraged).

What to look forward to at Xerocon Sydney

Whether you’re a veteran or a first-timer, Xerocon is an industry event like no other. But don’t just take our word for it. Glenn Bell from Receipt-Books attended Xerocon Brisbane in 2019 and says, “The event blew me away, from the activities and resources to the networking opportunities. I can only imagine Xerocon Sydney will be even bigger.”Reflecting on his first Xerocon, Glenn remembers one keynote session that has stuck with him over the years. He says, “On the first day, I saw the Xero New Zealand boss Craig Hudson’s talk on mental health – it was an excellent session, and it showed that Xerocon isn’t just about accounting.”

Besides the speakers, one of the things Glenn is most looking forward to at this year’s event is reconnecting with his community. “As a sole practitioner, it’ll be a fantastic opportunity to come together as an industry again. For the Brisbane conference, I linked up with a few partners who I’ve gotten to know over the years, and we got a lot out of the different sessions together,” he says. For anyone else in the same boat, Glenn suggests joining the Xero Partner Facebook Community group. “You’ll find people here who are keen to build new friendships and meet up,” he says, adding, “It’s not all work – there’s a bit of play as well.”

Nothing beats human connection

Xerocon Sydney is an opportunity to connect, learn from, and be inspired by not only our speakers, but your peers too.
