Small business owners get into business because they’re passionate about what they do. Unfortunately, that passion doesn’t immediately translate into success. Marcus Lemonis knows this all too well. As host of CNBC’s The Profit, he lends his business expertise to struggling businesses across the US.

A born leader
Some people are born entrepreneurs and there’s no doubt that entrepreneurship runs through Marcus’ veins. He started his first venture at the age of 12 with a lawn mowing service, which he used to earn money to open a candy business.
Since then, Marcus’ resume has diversified and grown substantially, including ventures in everything from politics to his current role as the CEO of Camping World and Good Sam.
Leading by example
Known as the “business turnaround king”, on The Profit, Marcus invests not only considerable time and effort, but his experience, his own money and often his own two hands to revitalize struggling small businesses.
Marcus’ desire to help small businesses stems from his own experience as an underdog in the business world and trials and tribulations as an entrepreneur. His advice for to aspiring entrepreneurs on the show is simple: know your numbers, trust the process and remember that he’s 100 percent in charge!
