Lights, camera, action! Will Packer to take the stage at Xerocon Atlanta
It’s no secret that Atlanta, Georgia is where all the action is. It’s just one of the reasons we’ve chosen the city to play host to Xerocon in the Americas this year. When we say ‘action’ we mean it in all senses of the word. One of the country’s biggest film and TV hubs, Atlanta is fast becoming known as the Hollywood of the South. For Xerocon, it’s only fitting that we’re bringing in a keynote speaker engrained in the local industry.
We’re thrilled to announce that Will Packer will be joining us at Xerocon Atlanta. He is the hugely successful producer of a laundry list of Hollywood hits – his films have collectively grossed $1 billion. He will share his story of being successful in the movie industry, how to come back from failure, and leave a hilarious and memorable impression on us all.
Atlanta roots
Will has spent the majority of his life in the southeastern U.S.. He graduated magna cum laude from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). It was at FAMU that Will began filmmaking. After graduating he moved to Atlanta and started a film production company with a colleague, and he has remained in the film industry ever since. Will’s first production company went on to produce several highly successful films including Stomp the Yard, Think like a Man and Ride Along.
Today, Will heads up his eponymous media company, and continues to produce successful film and television shows including Straight Outta Compton and the A&E television show, Roots. Not to mention, Will is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. To add to his laundry list of accolades and recognitions, Will is an engaging speaker. He brings to the stage a combination of humor, natural charm, motivation, but also humility when sharing his story of success.

As a keynote speaker, Will will inspire us all to never give up in the face of adversity through his unique brand of humor and storytelling. Will has been known to share with his audiences the philosophy that nobody, who has accomplished anything, has done so without failing. And Will is deeply rooted in the Atlanta community. He sits on the board of the Atlanta Hawks Foundation – for all you football fans out there! We’re looking forward to welcoming a local with such an impressive background to the Xerocon Atlanta stage.
