It’s going to get a lot easier to compile, send and sign client documents
We’re committed to building great solutions that solve real problems in your accounting or bookkeeping practice. And we know that organising, sending and getting documents signed – especially at financial year end – is a painful experience and it hasn’t been that easy to do in Xero. That’s going to change later this year for Australian partners. We’re planning to introduce another great tool – document packs. Also part of Xero HQ, Document Packs will give you a simple way to share documents with your clients and will include the ability to add e-sign, powered by Adobe Sign.
Share and sign all in one portal in one place
When document packs is live, you and your clients will have access to a secure portal where you can share documents for clients to download, review and e-sign.
A great improvement with documents packs is that you’ll be able to add your e-sign positions to your Report Templates, and define your client signatories in Report Fields. Then, you can easily share reports with clients and they’ll be all set to be signed using Adobe Sign.
At tax time, you can create tax returns straight from Xero Tax and add them to a document pack along with any reports so clients can review all year-end material at the same time. If your client group contains multiple Xero entities, no problem, they can all be combined into the same document pack. And if you need to attach any supporting documents which aren’t generated in Xero, such as directors resolutions, or group tax summaries, or even a cover letter for you client you can upload them directly from your computer to the pack. This gives you the flexibility to include exactly what you need to share with a client via one single link.
Document Packs will be a handy tool not just for sending annual accounts but at any time of year for periodic items like quarterly or monthly management reports. The way you interact with the document packs is up to you!
Save time and trees with paperless e-sign
As mentioned, Adobe Sign is part of Document Packs. It’s fully compliant and secure so you can be confident that declarations will stand up to scrutiny. Clients can sign their documents on the device that’s most convenient for them, whether that’s desktop, mobile or a tablet. And with Adobe Sign you have a full audit log which lets your team track the email and IP addresses of returned documents.
It’s on the way!
Keep an eye out – we’re expecting to release Documents Packs with Adobe Sign to Australian partners later this year. Head along to one of our twenty roadshows across Australia to see Documents Packs in action and learn more.
