IRIS + Xero: Reducing the burden of Making Tax Digital
With the implementation of HMRC’s ‘Making Tax Digital’ (MTD) initiative fast approaching, Xero has today announced a partnership with IRIS Software to streamline the bookkeeping process for UK accountants.
Traditionally, firms have struggled to take data from one system into another. This is especially true given that the software used by its client base may vary from business to business.
Our collaboration lets accountants to pull client information directly from Xero’s bookkeeping solution into IRIS Accountancy Suite. This will simplify the digital tax process for firms across the UK, and will enable client information to flow seamlessly all the way from the bank, invoice or expense through to producing their final accounts.

“With the need to digitise tax and record keeping becoming increasingly important, the sheer amount of data will increase exponentially as businesses begin to comply, and it’s vital accountants are supported through this challenging time.”
By helping accountants be more productive, Sion says, IRIS can help them focus on adding true value to their clients.
“Time-consuming admin processes will be cut considerably and accountants will be able to focus on what is most important – adding true value to their client base in the post-Brexit digital economy.”
Where thousands of accounting professionals are looking for solutions to help them manage the impact of MTD, Xero and IRIS are collaborating to offer them as much support as we can.
