Help your smallest clients transition to STP with Xero Payroll Cashbook
From 1 July this year, Single Touch Payroll (STP) will apply to all employers in Australia. According to the ATO, over half of all Australian businesses employing staff are ‘micro employers’ – businesses with one to four employees – and many don’t use any software to manage their payroll.
At Xero, we believe that businesses of every size should have access to digital solutions that help them thrive, and our accountant and bookkeeper partners have a fundamental role in helping the country’s smallest businesses meet their compliance needs and begin their digitisation journey.
Last month we launched the Payroll Only product plan, which Xero partners could subscribe clients to, and small businesses could also subscribe to themselves. Now, following months of development by our teams in Australia and across the world, we’re excited to announce a new partner-only plan, Xero Payroll Cashbook, built especially to help support the smallest businesses, with minimal administrative burden.
What is Xero Payroll Cashbook?
Payroll Cashbook is a new plan available only through Xero accounting and bookkeeping partners that includes all the features of a Xero GST cashbook and all of the features of payroll for one to four employees. It’s STP compliant and priced at $29 (including GST) a month.
Who is it for?
The Payroll Cashbook plan is designed for Xero partners in Australia who want to support their smaller clients to transition from spreadsheets and become compliant with Australia’s STP regulations, while still remaining efficient.
When a Xero partner connects to the ATO through Xero, they automatically become connected for all clients in their practice. This offers a huge timesaving to partners as small businesses begin or continue to digitise bookkeeping.
Why Payroll Cashbook?
Payroll Cashbook combines Xero’s GST cashbook and payroll into a single plan, so it’s everything you already know and nothing you don’t.
Features that help businesses become more digitally connected – such as invoices and bills – can be added by upgrading to the starter, standard or premium pricing plans. Automatic superannuation is available on premium plans.
It’s a must to check out for those of your clients with just a few employees who need to become STP compliant.
