After an incredible few days spent probing, challenging and celebrating the future of the industry, what better way to conclude Xerocon London than to recognise the winners of our annual awards?
As the Xero network rapidly expands to more than 100,000 advisers globally, these awards are an opportunity to recognise some of the standout passion, commitment and excellence shown across the bookkeeping and accounting community.

Accounting Partner of the Year
About the award: This award recognises an exceptional accounting practice in the UK, Ireland and South Africa that uses Xero to offer continual value and innovation to their clients.
About the UK winner: Having moved thousands of clients to Xero, Armstrong Watson embarked on a mass education program with Xero to train more than 200 members of staff. Their dedication to fundamentally change the way they process client records has resulted in an industry-leading practice with tremendous business growth.
About the Ireland winner: Now recognised as Xero experts, Beyond Accounting take a pragmatic approach to growth and continually invest in training to ensure their team is fully qualified on Xero. In just four years, Beyond has become the first and only Xero platinum partner in the Republic of Ireland.
About the South Africa winner: A leading provider of audit, accounting and tax services, the Aucamp Scholtz Lubbe team continues to prove that a successful accounting practice requires both strong technical skills and the ability to identify with a client’s vision, expectations and real needs. Since becoming a partner in 2015, ASL has built an innovative new client offering and proactively transformed the accounting process for its existing clients.
Bookkeeping Partner of the Year
About the award: This award recognises an exceptional bookkeeping practice that uses Xero to offer continual value and innovation to their clients.
About the winner: A fast-growing and well-respected Xero bookkeeping practice, Ken Bell Accounting proudly provides more than bookkeeping services; offering solutions such as client training, set-up sessions and support services for other Xero partners.
Emerging Partner of the Year
About the award: This award celebrates a Xero accounting or bookkeeping partner that shows the potential to deliver increasing value-added services to their clients.
About the winner: This year, the award goes to chartered accountants and tax advisors Taylor Cocks. A proudly proactive firm, Taylor Cocks embarked on a project to transition clients from other software products and manual records to Xero.
Xero MVP
About the award: The MVP (Most Valued Professional) award recognises an individual who has made an incredible contribution to the accountancy profession.
About the winner: The Xero MVP Award for 2017 goes to Alex Falcon Huerta who, despite founding Soaring Falcon Accountancy only a few years ago, has already gone on to create a market-leading digital practice. Recognised for her can-do attitude, Alex has travelled to New Zealand to learn from global peers and has become a source of support and information for other Xero partners.

About the award: This award highlights a practice that goes above and beyond to champion cloud accounting. By operating entirely on Xero, they demonstrate the value of our streamlined ecosystem every day.
About the winner: Farnell Clarke has transitioned its entire client base to Xero and developed a conversion tool to assist with the changeover. With a unique internal culture that includes their own pub, the Tax & Pounds, the team is known for its friendly client approach, deep ecosystem knowledge and willingness to help other firms follow their lead.
Industry Specific App of the Year
About the award: This award goes to the add-on partner that has addressed a distinct industry, resulting in a proven record of customer satisfaction and commercial success.
About the winner: Unleashed provides a powerful cloud-based platform for inventory management. The smart software allows its customers to easily and accurately track stock in real time across various locations, to aid better business decisions.
Emerging App Partner of the Year
About the award: This award recognises an up-and-coming app partner who demonstrates proven success through commitment to design, customer service and technological innovation.
About the winner: iwoca helps small businesses grow by offering flexible, unsecured credit lines through a Xero-connected app. Their award-winning technology enables credit decisions within hours and automatically posts repayments back into Xero, saving time on reconciliation.
App Partner of the Year
About the award: Our diverse ecosystem of add-on partners empowers small businesses to be their best. This award celebrates exceptional quality of service and continuous improvement – and this year, GoCardless took the honours.
About the winner: GoCardless aims to smooth small business pain points by helping customers to take control of their payments. Offering a free setup and low transaction fees, the app facilitates invoice payments online and automatically reconciles them with Xero.
