Congrats to New Zealand’s Sunday Star-Times Top 30 Accounting Firms
Sponsored by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Sunday Star-Times Top 30 Accounting Firms for 2019 has been announced!
On behalf of everyone at Xero, I would like to say a huge congratulations to all the firms listed.
I’m excited to be able to say that all 30 firms on this list are Xero partners, with more than half using our cloud technology to manage their practice. Working closely with our partners, we see how dedicated these firms are to maintaining and building on the success of the accounting industry. It’s awesome to see them all recognised for their contribution.
At the Xero Awards this year, we celebrated the amazing work our partners do to support small businesses. It’s wonderful to see our National Partner of the Year, BDO rank highly on the top 30 list also. BDO has been on a journey the last decade, which includes running some amazing initiatives in the last 12 months and displaying true innovation around how they support their clients.
Another notable partner on the top 30 list is Malloch McClean, who was also a winner at the Xero Awards – taking out Large Accounting Partner of the Year. The team at Malloch McClean went through a transformation, from running legacy processes and systems to a much more modern approach that enables them to support their clients better.
The survey data shows 89 percent of respondents revealed that the fastest growth was seen in advisory services. These services now make up almost 50 percent of accounting firm revenue in New Zealand. This shows the advantage these firms have in providing added value and support to their clients.
The list uses survey data to benchmark the top 30 firms based on revenue, technological innovation, sustainability, community and diversity, and aims to highlight the important and diverse role the accounting profession plays in New Zealand business and it’s communities.
Xero’s purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors and communities around the world. The accounting firms named in this list represent a much larger group who are positively impacting people in their communities. By helping them to understand their business better, accountants give small businesses the gift of time to spend doing what they love.
