And that’s a wrap……Xerocon London 2019
It’s been an incredible couple of days at Xerocon London. I’ve enjoyed meeting and talking to many of the 3,000 plus accountants and bookkeepers who joined us for this year’s event. It just gets bigger and better each year and it’s a privilege to be part of it.
To me, Xerocon is an opportunity for us all to come together to connect and collaborate around our shared purpose – to make life better for people in small business – it’s at the heart of Xero and it’s what binds the strong community we’re building.
On stage I talked about the vision we’re building as we evolve Xero from a single ledger in the cloud, to a small business platform that simplifies workflows and creates business insights…insights we believe are best delivered with a trusted advisor who understands and genuinely cares about the success of the small business.
In all my years of working in technology, I’ve seen many waves of change. Ultimately, success belongs to those who are most relevant to and make the most difference to customers.
We took several steps forward in our journey over the last couple of days with some exciting new product releases.
Making it seamless, simple and smart
Anna Curzon, Xero’s Chief Product Officer, shared a snapshot of our vision for the future of your practice and announced new products and enhancements, such as Xero Tax, Business Snapshot and major advances in Hubdoc’s machine learning-powered data capture technology.
Craig Walker, founding CTO and Executive General Manager of Payments, unveiled an exciting new partnership with Transferwise and the launch of Pay with TransferWise – as well as enhancements to payment facilities with Stripe and GoCardless.
And Nick Houldsworth, EGM Ecosystems, announced how Xero is building its own deeper integrations with the apps that small businesses use everyday, including Google, Microsoft, Mailchimp and HubSpot.
Making things simple, seamless and smart has its foundations in innovation – that’s what made Xero what it is and will always be.
We will continue to build, partner and buy the technology and solutions needed to bring more value to you and our small business customers.
Walking the Floor
I always get a kick out of walking the Exhibition Hall – it’s my opportunity to talk with our ecosystem partners and see first-hand the enormous contribution they’re making to accelerating global cloud adoption and transforming the accounting industry.
I’ve been leading the Xero team for over 18 months now and not a day goes by that I don’t feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this purpose-led community and wonderful company.
If you missed Xerocon this year, you can see all the highlights here in the Xerocon in Review summary.
Thanks to all of our people and partners for making Xerocon London such a success.
See you next year.
