Xero Pacesetters – Championing cloud adoption to attain Platinum status in two years
It is no secret that my favourite spot in the Xero Singapore office is in front of the ‘Challenge’ wall. ‘Challenge’ is a core value that is central for the team and our partners here in Asia as we navigate a market that is still in the early stages of cloud adoption.
The cloud journey might seem arduous but definitely rewarding. I wanted to take this opportunity to shine the light on our cloud champion in Malaysia – YYC. They embarked on the cloud journey to transition away from traditional accounting and advisory in 2017. In 2.5 years, the firm supercharged its Xero status to Platinum. This was made possible with the management’s mandate to undergo aggressive cloud transformation.
To ensure a successful digital transformation, YYC worked closely with Xero to equip their workforce with cloud accounting skills. As an established firm with 45 years of history, they did not rest on their laurels. Instead, the firm appointed Xero champions to roll out internal ‘Hands-On-Lab’ trainings, pilot workshops and clinics sessions across all their office branches.
Today, YYC celebrates their success with 16% YoY growth and over 15,000 SME clients. Most recently, they acquired Agere Accounting to expand into Singapore. It is this hunger to stay ahead of competition and maximise the benefits of cloud that propelled YYC to become one of the finalists for Xero Awards 2019.
