A partner shares 3 ways to achieve success at Xero Roadshow Canada
Xero is hitting the road again in October to bring Xero Roadshow Canada to accountants and bookkeepers across the country. If you’re not familiar, roadshows are free events for cloud accounting and bookkeeping leaders to evaluate challenges and opportunities defining the industry, hear about the latest Xero product updates, share the latest digital efficiencies, and connect with the broader advisor community across Canada.
Prior to becoming Xero’s National Ambassador in Canada, I had the opportunity to attend a roadshow event while still considering if Xero was the right fit for my practice, and again once we began using the platform to manage our clients’ books. Given my unique perspective, I wanted to share the top three takeaways your firm will get when attending a roadshow event.
1. Expose your staff to the Xero ecosystem
I encourage staff members to join me at Xero Roadshow not only for the great content the Xero team presents but also as a way to learn more about the connected apps in the Xero ecosystem. We rely on a number of apps to tailor our services to our clients’ needs and it’s fantastic to get to meet them face-to-face at the events. While Xerocon is a must-attend event in my book, when looking for new product releases across the Xero ecosystem, roadshows are the next best way to expose your staff to new offerings and tools specific to the Canadian market. And since the roadshows are spread across the country in 13 cities this year, you can keep your expenses low by finding the event nearest to you.
2. Connect with like-minded cloud accounting leaders
Roadshows provide many opportunities for collaboration. You can easily connect with like-minded accountants and bookkeepers and pick their brains about what’s working for them (or what’s not) and see where they are on their Xero journey. Personally, I’ve even had referrals come through from other Xero partners I’ve met in the Xero community simply through the collaboration that is encouraged. You’ll get to learn what other firms specialize in and also introduce them to your firm’s area of focus. It’s a win-win for everyone and being a part of the Xero community makes this possible.
3. Get to know your Xero team
The Xero team is there to help your firm achieve success and there’s nothing like meeting your Account Manager in person if you’re a current Xero partner. If you’re still considering whether Xero is the right platform for your firm, there are a number of additional resources, like the Partner Consultant and Product Development team members, that you can connect with. The roadshows provide a great informal setting and it gives them an opportunity to get to know you better. That way, when they come across an article or information think will be useful, they remember you and pass it along. By taking the time to meet with the Xero team, you’ll build relationships and gain the support needed to work collaboratively in the upcoming year.
See when Xero Roadshow Canada will be in a city near you and register for free today. We hope to see you there!
