Released
Xero Practice Manager/WorkflowMax (XPM/WFM): Dropbox Team Spaces Integration
Recently, Dropbox introduced ‘Team Spaces’ in the Dropbox Business Edition – a system that enables team members to access shared spaces with an increased ability to control access levels. XPM/WFM has now supported Team Spaces with an updated integration between the two products. This enhancement allows you to use the full potential of Dropbox Team Spaces in conjunction with both products. Your team can easily access documents and collaborate, while maintaining the enhanced security and configuration benefits that Team Spaces offers.
Xero Workpapers: Xero Report Code Mapping import
You can now use the report codes that you’ve already set up in your client’s Xero account when importing a trial balance. Any changes you’ve made to a client’s chart of accounts and its mappings will be imported directly into Workpapers.
This release improves the accuracy of mapping in Workpapers, reducing errors and the chance of missing an account. It also lets you use Xero’s more advanced mapping capabilities within Workpapers, and makes it easier to set up and customise client workpaper packs.
Account Settings: alternative email now in 2SA setup
Here’s one less thing to worry about if you lose your phone or forget your 2SA questions and answers. It’s now possible to add an alternative email address in the Account Settings 2SA flow (either setup or disable). If you choose to add one, you can use your alternative email to log in to your Xero account and disable 2SA, and set it up again with your new phone.
Email-to-Bills: draft bills get smarter
Email-to-Bills has just gotten smarter and more accurate, and you can see it in the draft bill transactions inside Xero. This new release, available on Premium plans, remembers user edits and suggests the corrected value the next time a bill is received from the same supplier. Save time, and stop making repeated edits on your bills.
Projects: fixed price tasks now supported
Businesses often want to charge a fixed price for their service based on a quoted amount, while still tracking time spent for their own cost management. Previously, Projects users could only charge an hourly rate for their time. To bridge this gap, the Projects team has added a new task type in Projects which allows users to track their variable hours on a task, but charge it out at a fixed price.
Xero Tax: 2019 ATO tax forms released
Just in time for Tax Time 2019, Xero has released the ATO compliant tax forms for Australian registered Tax Agents. These include the new The Deductions schedule (DDCTNS), a mandatory schedule where a deduction is claimed on the main Individual Income Tax Return (IITR) form. Xero’s cloud-based tax software is accurate, compliant, easy-to-use, and best of all, needs no downtime to manually update.
Reporting: Report template updates for Canada
We’ve added seven new Report Templates which contain new and updated Report Codes for our partners in Canada. These will give even more flexibility in presenting financial information for different types of clients. The templates contain both simplified and comprehensive layouts for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet reports – just remove the version you don’t need after running it from the Adviser tab in the client organization.
Xero Central: Learning moves to Xero Central
Xero wanted to provide a more connected experience across learning, support, discussions and profiles. To solve this, they’ve re-platformed education and moved it to a new home – Learning in Xero Central. Here learning is easy to find, consume and track progress. And as always, Xero makes it simply beautiful. Guided learning journeys will help a user keep powering through well-designed content.
Coming Soon
Xero Practice Manager/WorkflowMax (XPM/WFM): document additions on mobile
Add photos, documents, audio, and some video file types while at the job site or on-the-go. Document additions to jobs will soon be supported on mobile for Xero Practice Manager/WorkflowMax users, helping you to better manage your work documentation no matter where you are.
