In our final week before Xerocon San Diego, we got in touch with some of our accounting and bookkeeping partners to talk about Xerocon and how you can get the most out of your Xerocon experience.

It helps having a plan coming into Xerocon, so you don’t miss out on any of the great content and learnings available at the show. Xerocon San Diego marks my third show in attendance, so in order to go into Xerocon fully prepared, I’m sharing some tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the years.

Make a plan before visiting exhibitors

This year, Xerocon will have 45+ sponsors and exhibitors including Stripe, Expensify, Novo and more. The best way to tackle the exhibitor space is to make a plan beforehand. If you’re attending Xerocon with other members of your team, divide and conquer as you meet with different vendors to learn about their products and how they can help you address the needs of your clients. Meeting with exhibitors is the perfect time to ask questions and learn through product demos, so you’ll have the right understanding of the value these products can bring your firm.

Get yourself to Xero’s networking events

Between the happy hour on Day Xero (requires separate Day Xero ticket), the Appy Hour on Day 1 and our Xerocon Wrap Party to end the show, there will be plenty of fun times and networking opportunities. Whether you’re reconnecting with your network or meeting new faces, you’ll make valuable connections within the Xero community at these events. Share any of your learnings, photos or memories using the #Xerocon hashtag and join in on the conversation!

Everything you need to know about Xerocon is available at your fingertips with the Xerocon app. You’ll get access to the full conference agenda, speaker profiles, exhibitor list, and conference maps. Catch up with your account manager

While you might spend much of the year talking to your account manager through the computer, Xerocon is a great place to meet with them in-person. You can spend some quality time with them and talk about your Xero journey and where you want to grow. Send them an email today to set up time to connect or message them using the Xerocon app with the “Networking” feature!
