Xero partners shine at the 2019 Australian Accounting Awards
At Xero, we believe in celebrating the achievements of our community. And Friday May 24 was certainly a big night for our partners. Held in Sydney, this year’s Australian Accounting Awards saw the industry’s major players come together to recognise exceptional contributions to accounting across the country. With a formidable Xero-powered team in attendance, we kept the festivities going late into the night as our partners swept up a staggering 32 of the 35 awards on offer.
In true Xero style, we kick-started the evening by honouring our wonderful nominees with an exclusive VIP pre-event. Having topped the list with over 90% of nominations, drinks were flowing and spirits soaring from the get go. From senior ranks to rising stars, the Australian Accounting Awards honour professional development and innovation, showcasing both the individuals and firms who are leading the charge. A top industry honour, they represent a true cross-section of today’s dynamic accounting profession.
Amongst our many inspirational winners, a special mention goes to the indomitable Chaz Prezident, Director of Whitehouse Private Wealth. Not only did Mr Prezident take home the Accountant’s Daily Excellence Award, but he was also announced Thought Leader of the Year.
Taking a moment to reflect in between the glitz and glamour of the event, one thing remained clear: together, we can thrive. As Xero’s National Partner Director (and awards attendee) Rob Stone said, “Xero is partner first, always. Which is why it’s so important to recognise the best of the best and come together to watch them shine. These are the innovators who are setting the pace of the accounting industry.”
